State Media: Police are finalizing preparations to charge a 27-year-old Golden Grove resident, who has reportedly confessed to killing Member of Parliament for St Peter, Asot Michael.
ABS News has learned that the man has showed investigators key evidence. This will form the basis of the charge expected to be laid against him later today. It is not clear at this point whether investigators have ascertained a motive for the fatal stabbing of the MP.
This is a major development within days of the MP’s murder, which sent shockwaves across the nation. Michael, who was an independent legislator, was found in a pool of blood in his Dry Hill home on Tuesday.
