The Prime Minister made a commitment that this much-anticipated payment would be settled before the year’s end. Well, the clock has run out, and yet hard-working public employees are still left waiting.
Many civil servants count on this back pay to cover bills, handle mounting expenses, or simply experience a bit of well-deserved financial relief. Some have budgeted the long-awaited funds into their year-end plans, while others have had to postpone crucial purchases and family obligations again. The longer this promise remains unfulfilled, the more it erodes both trust in leadership and the financial stability of the very people tasked with making government run smoothly.

The new year marks a time of reflection and renewal let it also mark a time of responsibility and action.
