Rawdon Turner says he’s been working to develop infrastructure in the St. Peter constituency.
“We started the cleaning of the land, we’re looking at putting in the infrastructure in. The engineers are in, assessing the roadworks,” he said.
“If I was not a person who was willing and had the ability to advocate for the constituents of St. Peter, nothing would have started before this byelection in the constituency. I would not have gotten the Minister out of her office into the field for the good part of an entire day touring every single road, every bypass, every gutter to inspect and see what needs to be done in the constituency.”

Turner, the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party’s candidate for St Peter, has been making his case to voters on why he should be elected in Tuesday’s by-election.
“We see what happens in Falmouth during the height of the yachting season and we know for a fact there is a need for more berths, there’s a need for more facilities, so if we can get something like that up and running in the Parham Harbour area, it’s a win-win for everyone,” Turner said.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced the by-election for the St. Peter constituency following the passing of Independent Member of Parliament Asot Michael.
“My campaign team and the persons who support my effort now are merged with the team of the Honourable Asot Michael, so we are a singular unit,” Turner said.
“The Honourable Asot Michael, even though he was an Independent, his heart was always with the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party. So, the support I am getting on the ground, and the feedback, tells me that the seat will remain a Labour Party seat.
