The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission says all eleven polling stations across three polling divisions opened promptly at 6am for the St Peter by-election. Several electors were in line ahead of the opening of the polls.
The two candidates on the ballot are the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party’s Rawdon Turner and the United Progressive Party’s George Wehner.
4,762 electors are registered to cast their ballots to elect a new parliamentary representative, following the murder of independent Member of Parliament, Hon. Asot Michael in November last year.
