The orders of the Father of the Nation of Antigua & Barbuda are being ignored. And, the most dreadful developments are ruining the very thing everyone loves about Barbuda. Gone is the peaceful living of mutual respect and cooperation in collective land ownership, as Antigua Government forces of Riot geared Police force Barbudan people to stand their ground against the ruling party, perverting their decades of land control of beautiful Barbuda.
The rapacious, land grabbing mentality of those in Antigua towards their own island, has created chaos on the main island, which is now being spread to Barbuda.

Except, whereas Antigua’s land is now the source of a new self-enrichment scheme promoted by those in power, Barbuda’s land has been the unifying source of the souls of Barbuda people, creating a distinct culture of oneness with their land.
The claim of those who do not understand the culture of the wealthy, is that Barbuda will be ‘Jumby Bay on steroids’ thereby failing to realize that wealthy persons do not buy into concrete jungle development, even if they are on the beach. 450 + 200 +300 home lots will never attract the Jumby/Mill Reef/St. Barts folks, but only the newly rich, by fair or foul means, will be the market which Barbuda will attract.
Further, the workers will all be imported, as they currently are for the construction and other manual labour, or caring for homeowners and their guests. Not only will the lifestyle of the Barbuda-born be irreversibly changed, but in creating a population of majority foreigners, the vote of Barbuda becomes controlled by those who brought them to Barbuda.
In preserving the rights of the people of Barbuda, the same systems must be introduced, which control workers in countries which do not desire population increase. Work permits must require time limits which demand leaving the state and reapplying from abroad. Not that this method will save Barbuda, whose violation is already in practice.
