NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Eucal Bonaby stated that no evidence has been uncovered to date to support corruption allegations against immigration officers at the Carmichael Road Detention Centre.

A recent report from the United States also raised similar concerns, claiming that The Bahamas did not proactively screen for human trafficking among vulnerable communities in 2023.

Bonaby noted that the officers allegedly involved have not yet been identified.
