Why does an AG need a weekly show?

Saw a recent ‘Issues in the News” with AG Anil Nandlall cutting down Guyanese citizens who, obviously, had different takes on the things political. The level of personal affrontery mirrored what a media commentator would advance since their posture often is to trigger reactions that allow further and future commentary on the issues.
But these diatribes came from the country’s Attorney General who has a basic responsibility to protect the public’s (let’s say citizens) interest, without regard to religious, political or economic differences.
That an AG would have a weekly TV show is fraught with risk of revealing matters that belong to the judicial process and system. If the judicial process and system were a straight road, then the AG was driving all recklessly, not allowing anyone else to traverse.
In calling a particular citizen a ‘character’ and others in a group setting in as much the same manner reflects that his presentation was not meant to clarify but to denigrate.
Guyana has had qualified and highly respected AGs who oversaw and represented the public interest in the late pre- and post-independence periods. Though these AGs might not have been perfect throughout their service time, no one doubted the quality of their thinking and legal expression.
One Guyana is a political expression coined by one party. ‘One People, One Nation, One Destiny’ was forged through multi-party and cultural offerings. Unsuccessfully, the AG tried equating the two. Why does an AG need a weekly show? Call a press conference to present or respond to critical issues.
Perhaps, the AG has too much rope!
