Initially, their plans are to put together a template for the promotion of boxing in general, and countries with promoters on board from that first meeting were from Bahamas, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Maarten and Trinidad and Tobago.

In a statement Bristol, with over two decades in promoting both at the amateur and professional levels, noted, “It’s great to see promoters from the Caribbean coming together to collaborate on Professional and Amateur Boxing events. Forming a body to handle these promotions can help standardize events, increase visibility, and create a stronger boxing scene in the region.”

Among the many topics of discussion include, but not limited to: 1. **Joint Marketing Strategies**: How they can collectively promote events to reach a wider audience

  1. **Sponsorship Opportunities**: Pooling resources to attract sponsors, which could benefit all members.
  2. **Event Scheduling**: Coordinating schedules to avoid overlaps and maximize attendance.
  3. **Talent Development**: Sharing resources for training and development of fighters within the region.
  4. **Regulatory Standards**: Establishing guidelines to ensure safety and professionalism in all events.

He said, “As we move forward, organizing workshops or webinars to educate about boxing promotions, marketing, and management could also be beneficial.”

He indicated that soon there will be an in-person meeting with the various stakeholders of boxing from within the Caribbean region.
