Annandale men in court for fighting

Kaieteur News- Two men were placed on bail on Thursday for allegedly assaulting each other.
The defendants, 35-year-old businessman Avimdralall Motielal and 27-year-old Vishal Babulal, both of Annandale, East Coast Demerara, appeared before Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court.
Babulal was charged for assaulting Motielal on February 1, 2025 at Annandale Market Road, ECD. Meanwhile, Motielal was charged for assaulting Babulal on the same day at the said address. Babulal sustained injuries to his face and eyes, causing two facial bones to be fractured. Both men pleaded not guilty after the charges were read. Magistrate Scarce granted Motielal $20,000 bail for the assault causing actual bodily harm charge, while Babulal was placed on self-bail. The matter was adjourned to April 10, 2025.
