Man charged after trying to remove impounded bike from police station

Kaieteur News- A 20-year-old labourer was slapped with an “obstructing the course of justice” charge on Wednesday after he tried to remove his impounded motorcycle from the Anna Regina Police Headquarters compound, Essequibo Coast, Region Two.
Kaieteur News understands that the defendant, Tyrone Tyrese Tryell, tried to repeat what a Lindener did a few weeks ago but failed miserably.
According to Essequibo police the motorcycle was lodged at the police headquarters in a case against him and on Sunday March 30 he tried to remove it.
Police arrested him and he was placed before the Suddie Magistrate Court on Wednesday. He appeared before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke and reportedly pleaded not guilty to the charge
Tyrell was granted $250,000 bail and the matter was adjourned until April 17, 2025.
