Consequences for actions, but things have to be encouraged

Tyrese used to “deh pun stupidness’ (News Room April 9) was the comment of one relative to the death of fifteen-year-old Tyrese Adams, killed when he and his accomplices tried to execute a robbery. Â
What an account to sum up a young life, tantamount to a wasted life. From the statement, it was recognised that young Tyrese was bent on going astray, but the account does not state what steps were taken to straighten him out….what firm hand sought to take control of this young life? It seems there were no interventions even though it was recognised he ‘deh pun stupidness’. Â
Maybe it was felt the stupidness he was on would not end this tragically. Alas, it did. And now comes the lamentations about stupidness, and ‘duhs how life does go’. Sad statements. Sure, there are consequences for actions, but things have to be encouraged. Â
