Last Friday, a police constable conducting traffic stops at Valley Road and Sir Vivian Richards Street stopped a vehicle and requested the driver’s documents and to search the vehicle.
The driver resisted and called a government minister, who arrived and reprimanded the constable in front of a senior police officer, who did not intervene. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATS APP GROUP
The minister instructed the driver to leave without being searched.
The constable was left shaken and humiliated, with no support from the police hierarchy.
