Vendor on $75,000 bail for wounding charge

Accused, Mark Samaroo, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court

Kaieteur News – A 29-year-old vendor was released on Wednesday on $75,000 bail for a wounding charge.

Mark Samaroo, of Lot 91 Block ‘F’, North Sophia, Georgetown, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore, who read the charge.

Samaroo pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on April 2, 2025, at Robb Street, Bourda, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm to Troy Anthony Adams.

He was granted bail, and the matter was adjourned to July 9, 2025.
