Berbice Cricket Board awards ceremony set for June 28th

Kaieteur Sports – The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) will be holding an awards ceremony on Saturday 28th June. The ceremony will be held at the St Francis Community Developers (SFCD), Port Mourant Corentyne Berbice. Starting time is 16:00 hrs.
The ceremony will be to honour outstanding players, clubs and officials. The occasion will also be to show appreciation to others including sponsors, who would have assisted the BCB over the year in delivering on its mandate.
A number of categories have been listed for consideration for awards and the BCB is at the moment finalizing nominees for the top performers in the respective categories.
The list of awardees includes – Under 13 Cricketer of the Year, under 15 Cricketer of the year, under 17 Cricketer of the year, under 19 Cricketer of the year male, under 19 Cricketer of the year female, Senior Cricketer of the year male, Senior Cricketer of the year female.
Most improved cricketer of the year – junior, most improve female cricketer of the year, most improve cricketer of the year. Club of the year – senior, club of the year – junior, Most discipline player of the year, second division player of the year and umpire of the year.
The BCB is also considering giving tokens including certificates to sponsors and donors among other categories. Â (Samuel Whyte)
