Survivors and Ebony Lake enjoyed wins in the Social Security Board’s (SSB) Over-40 “Health and Wellness” tournament, which kicked off at Berger Field in Belize City on Sunday evening, July 20.

In Game 1, Ebony Lake won, 2-1, over Berger United, with goals by Denver Skeete (18’) and Bruce Gagadino (35’). Only David “Manu” McCaulay, Sr. (60’) scored for Berger.

In Game 2, Juan Gonzalez’s beaver hat trick led the Survivors to a 4-1 win over Plaza United, as his first goal gave Survivors a 1-0 lead up to the half. Plaza’s Michael Hendricks (45’) tied the score at 1-1. Juan Gonzalez’s 2nd half hat trick sealed the victory. He now leads the tournament with 5 goals.
