September 17, 2025

On 13th September 2025, Liberation 9/21, a new solidarity action group, was

established in Belize with a commitment to advancing justice, dignity and liberation

for all. Liberation 9/21 will act to continue the unfinished work of decolonization, in

Belize and globally; pursue social and economic justice; and promote sustainable

development; and will engage respectfully, inclusively and democratically in all its

actions. It will seek to build on the legacy of Belizeans and groups who have resisted

exploitation and defended freedom.

In its first public action, Liberation 9/21 calls on the Government of Belize to repeal

the Immigration (visa relaxation declaration), State of Israel Order 2011, which

enables any Israeli passport holder to enter Belize without a visa for 90 days.

While commending the Government for bold actions already taken to condemn

Israel’s ongoing genocide in Occupied Palestinian Territory, Liberation 9/21 is

convinced that, based on a resolution passed by the National Assembly and on

international conventions signed, Belize is obliged to take this additional action.

Liberation 9/21 calls for all concerned to sign the Petition, which will be presented to

the Government of Belize. Sign by going to the link Remove Belize’s Visa Waiver for
