NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Minister of Health, Dr Michael Darville confirming to reporters today outside of the Ministry of Health that officials have been combating a notable uptick in COVID-19 cases.

Darville noted that health officials have seen a sharp rise in the number of positive tests during the month of April, when as many as 40 cases were being identified weekly.

Three persons are currently isolated in hospital with the virus. None of the cases thus far have been significant enough to land patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
