Berbice Cricket Board U19 Inter club competition begins today with several matches

In preparation for the upcoming U19 inter County cricket Competition the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) will today commence their inter club U19 cricket competition.
The competition will be called the BCB/Orvin Mangru U19 Contracting Service Cricket Competition.
The teams have been divided into a number of zones with the top two teams in each zone emerging to the knockout stage.
The BCB has also released a number of rules which clubs are expected to observe rigidly.
Players participating in the competition must be born on or after 1st September 2005. The games will be of 50 overs duration and will be played using coloured clothing.
Matches are expected to begin at 09:30hrs and toss is expected to be spun not later than 09:15 hrs.  If the captains are not present at the toss, they will forfeit the right to the toss.
Team arriving more than 15 minutes late will have that similar amount of time added to the scheduled close.
Teams are allowed to have at least one non Berbician in their lineup.
Protests will not be allowed on umpiring decisions.
Teams wishing to utilize the services of umpires, must make contact with the umpire’s association at least 48 hours before the start of the game.
Winning teams are required to submit their match reports to the BCB or it’s representatives in their areas.
Teams are also expected to provide their own lunches.
Teams winning a game will be awarded 12 points. In cases where the matches have been washed out the teams will be awarded 4 points each.
Where rules are not stated ICC rules will apply.
