Everest Masters end Costa Rico tour with defeat

Kaieteur Sports- Everest Masters completed their tour of Costa Rica with a five-run loss to the hosts on Sunday.
They recorded two wins from three matches after suffering a defeat in the penultimate game to Costa Rica before beat an USA touring side in the opening match.

In the final fixture, Costa Rica X1 only made 146-6 at the expiration of the 20-overs while the Georgetown-based team replied with 139-5 from 20-overs.
Former Guyana youth player Hemraj Garberran led the way with 43, while he got good support from another ex-Guyana youth player, Raja Pooran with 40 not out and 24 from Troy Dudnauth.
Pooran, who spearheaded Everest Masters’ first-match win with a sensational bowling performance by taking 4 wickets for 7 runs from his maximum four overs, was named player-of-the-tournament having snapped up two player-of-the-match awards.
Other former Guyana under-19 players, Ucil Armstrong and Lookeshwar Mahabeer, picked up two wickets apiece in their third game as well.
