Forecast calls for up to 25mm of rainfall today

State Media: The Antigua Barbuda Meteorological Services is expecting between 10 and 25mm of rainfall today as there is a 90% chance of rainfall in the forecast.

Dale Destin, Director of the Met Office, reports there could also be heavier localized downpours over sections of the islands with a 20% chance of thunderstorms.

He reports light winds could keep temperatures warm and a destabilized atmosphere, triggering further wet conditions.

Meanwhile, an excessive heat warning has also been issued. Destin advises residents should prepare for, what he calls, medium risk.
