At 90 years old, Miriam Samuel, a retired teacher, author and agro processor continues to inspire and empower, proving that it’s never too late to embark on new horizons. Affectionately known as Grandma Mirie, this seniorpreneur describes her first ProsperiTea Market as more than just an event but a heartfelt celebration of community, wellness and financial wisdom.

The market, held at Julee’s, was a precursor to the upcoming virtual Pathway to Prosperity Financial Wellness webinar on January 18th. It highlighted how the comforting ritual of tea blending, mirrors the practical tools of building strong financial habits.

“I became a widow at 73 and had to learn how to manage money from scratch,” Grandma Mirie shared. “Instead of retiring, I focused on expanding my skills and growing a business. I want to help others manage their money – not let money manage them.”

The event featured Stir ‘N Sip Financial Tips, led by Grandma Mirie, Chief Kindness Officer, and her daughter, Megan Samuel-Fields, CEO of SamuelFields Consulting Group (SFCG). Drawing from Grandma Mirie’s book, “Mirie’s Magic Recipe: Loving, Leading, Legacy,” the mother-daughter duo highlighted the connection between tea blending and financial planning, showing guests how to brew prosperity with patience and intention. Her son, Clement Samuel and nieces Lisa and Sienna Peters also joined the discussion, reinforcing the values of family, growth, and legacy.

Together, they explored key topics such as:

Brew the Plan – Small steps lead to success

Flavor Your Future – Diversify your investments

Steep in Security – Safeguard generational wealth

Infuse Purpose  – Turn your passion into profit

Grandma Mirie’s grandson, Noah Fields, shared a moving poem “Financial Whispers in the Teacup” that illustrates how the simple act of brewing tea mirrors the journey of financial growth.

Guests savored handcrafted products – from teas, kombucha, and flavored mauby to sorrel fudge and coconut bread – all made from Grandma Mirie’s garden harvest.

“The ProsperiTea Market reminded us that small, thoughtful actions lead to lasting financial growth,” said Megan Samuel-Fields. “It’s about creating habits that pave the way for prosperity and legacy.”

The journey continues with the Pathway to Prosperity webinar on January 18th – a transformative virtual event designed to equip participants with practical tools to break financial barriers, build wealth, and shape a brighter future.
