Kaieteur Sports – Guyana Women continued their winning ways yesterday after disposing of Windward Islands by 7-wickets after another brilliant bowling performance led by seasoned off-spinner Plafianna Millington and some fine batting by the In-form Realeanna Grimmond, yesterday at Conaree Sports Club.

Windwards had any possible momentum sucked out of them as they were kept to 97 all out in the 39th over.
Abini St. Jean and Holly Charles scored 17 apiece, while veteran Afy Fletcher had 15 and Captain Earnihsa Fontaine (12), thus marking a poor batting outing.
The lackluster innings by the Windwards was triggered yet again by Guyana’s big three this season, led by spin twins Millington (3-27) and Ashmini Munisar (2-18), who continued to find support from medium-pacer Cherry-Ann Fraser (2-16).
Guyana continued their winning ways yesterday against Windwards.
Guyana also had a shaky start but recovered well to end on 101-3 after 25 overs. Grimmond continued to churn out runs, leading her team with a composed knock of 48* with seven fours; narrowly missing a well-deserved fifty.
Veteran batsman Shabika Gajnabi lent ideal support with her innings of 32* as she added 81 alongside Grimmond, resisting the likes of Selena Ross (2-17) and Pearl Etienne (1-2), who led Windwards bowling effort.
The Guyanese trio of Mandy Mangru (1), Katana Mentore (5) and Shemaine Campbelle (0) departed early, but the void was filled by the Grimmond/Gajnabi partnership, which saw the innings through without any further loss.
Guyana’s next assignment will be against the Trinidadians on Wednesday at Warner Park from 10:00h.
