Guyanese Ramdhani, Beaton, Beharry represent at 2025 Cuba International Badminton tourney

Kaieteur Sports- National badminton stars Priyanna Ramdhani, Nkosi Beaton and Miskha Beharry have been churning out good performances at the 2025 Cuba International Badminton tournament; XXIII Torneo Internacional Giraldilla.
Nkosi Beaton, Miskha Beharry and Priyanna Ramdhani represented Guyana at the 2025 Cuba International Badminton tournament.
The trio racked up wins in both the individual and team formats before eventually running into stiff international competition, but gained tons of experience in the process for the future.
Ramdhani showed her international experience to win her Women’s Singles match against Leyanis Cabeza of Cuba 21-13, 18-21, 21-17 thus advancing to the next round.
She would then fall in the 16th round after a spirited battle versus Guatemalan Luisa Alfaro, 22-16, 19-21,16-21. The Women’s Single finals was eventually won by Thailand’s Anyapat Phichitpreechsak.
Beaton and Beharry meanwhile won the Mixed Doubles first round battle versus the Cubans, advancing to the 16th round after a three-set win 22-20, 11-21, 22-18.
Beharry however suffered three set losses 21-18, 23-25,11-21 in the Women’s Single, and Beaton in the Men’s Single against Dominican Republic, 21-5, 21-8; as all three Guyanese finished on a high note after days of tough competition against some of the worlds best.
The annual tournament teed off from March 12-16 in Habana, Cuba, at the Coliseo de la Ciudad Deportiva Indoor Facility.
