Earlier, Antigua Today published an article suggesting that sources within the UPP indicated Nicholas was expected to tender her resignation. The report, described as a “political bombshell,” speculated that her departure would deliver a significant blow to the UPP, given her prominent role within the party’s leadership.

However, Nicholas swiftly refuted the report, posting on her Facebook account: “I weep for what Journalism has descended to in this country.
Lesson #1 in Journalism 101 – fact check!” The statement highlights her frustration with what she perceives as unsubstantiated and inaccurate reporting, emphasizing the importance of verifying information before publication.
Nicholas, a key figure in the UPP, has been integral to the party’s operations, and speculation surrounding her resignation has drawn significant attention.
