Justice being compromised

Kaieteur News – It must be concerning to the authorities the lamentations and criticisms levelled by the Acting Chief Magistrate, regarding poor police work in several gun cases, which came before her recently (INews July 24).
Chronicling several cases, as outlined in the article, which highlighted poor and careless investigation and by extension prosecution, lacking answers to details, resulting in bail being granted to defendants. This does not speak well of those tasked with the responsibility of investigating and prosecuting these cases, and places justice being compromised. This would be a travesty.
