Labourer sentenced to two years for wounding charge

Kaieteur News- A 22-year-old labourer was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment when he appeared at the Cove and John Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to answer to a felonious wounding charge.
The matter was heard before Magistrate Orinthia Schmidt.
Krishna Beharrylall, of Lot 903 Grassfield, Enmore, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was arrested on March 30, 2025 for feloniously wounding a 27-year-old labourer from Grassfield, Enmore on March 29, 2025.
Beharrylall pleaded guilty to the charge before the twenty-four-month sentence was handed down.
