Statistics out of the United States reveal that Black American women are more likely than white American women to be afflicted by breast cancer at earlier ages.
Additionally, such breast cancer is the more aggressive type, and more likely to be discovered at an advanced stage. Why are Black women so unlucky?

Scientists have found links between hair relaxers and breast cancer. Hair relaxers contain known cancer-causing chemicals. And it’s not just relaxers. Some hair dyes have also been linked to increased risk of breast cancer.
Breast cancer is not the only thing to worry about. Some of the ingredients in hair dyes and relaxers have also been linked to uterine cancer and leukaemia.
