Dear Editor,

I write as a concerned constituent deeply frustrated by the ongoing deceit and empty promises perpetuated by the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), as demonstrated at the recent Bolans meeting. Once again, we were subjected to a parade of lies and half-truths aimed at pacifying a community that deserves much better.

Bolans people are not easily bought or sold, nor are we fooled by superficial gestures. We live the challenges daily—the unfulfilled promises, the crumbling infrastructure, the lack of opportunities—and we feel the weight of neglect. As the saying goes, “Who feels it, knows it.”

The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party must stop deflecting blame and take responsibility for its failures and must rise to the occasion. It is time for them to stop making excuses and start delivering real results for our community. Leadership is measured by action, not rhetoric.

A glaring example of this ineffectiveness lies with Senator Dwayne George, the Junior Minister of Finance. If he cannot secure the necessary funding to address critical issues affecting our constituency, what is the point of his position? His role should be to champion solutions, not to serve as a figurehead while Bolans continues to suffer.

Our community demands and deserves better—better leadership, better accountability, and better representation. The people of Bolans will no longer accept empty promises or excuses. We are watching, and we are ready to hold all leaders accountable for the change we need.
