Milo/Massy U18 Football heats up with Round III action

Kaieteur Sports- After two rounds of scintillating action in the 11th edition of the Milo/Massy Boys’ Under-18 Football Championship, eight teams have managed to secure maximum points.
The season’s premier U18 Secondary School’s Football Championship sponsored by Milo/Massy continues with Round III action today and tomorrow at MoE and QC grounds
The competition has been nothing short of thrilling, and as the tournament enters its third round today, the hunger for victory intensifies. So far, Waramuri Secondary has been in outstanding form, leading Group ‘A’ with six points from two games. Charlestown Secondary and Santa Rosa Secondary are neck and neck in Group ‘B,’ both also sitting on six points.
West Ruimveldt Boys have also impressed, winning both of their matches in Group ‘C’, while Dolphin Secondary will be aiming to maintain their lead in Group ‘D.’ Defending champions Chase’s Academic Foundation will be keeping a close eye on Three Mile Secondary, as both teams currently share the top spot in Group ‘E’ with six points. Meanwhile, Bush Lot Secondary appears to have found a winning formula, leading Group ‘F’ with two victories.
The Group A encounter between Warmuri Secondary and New Amsterdam Secondary is match #27 of the Milo/Massy U18 Football tournament.
A total of eleven matches will be played this weekend to conclude the third round of proceedings. Today’s action kicks off at the Ministry of Education (MoE) ground with three exciting clashes. South Ruimveldt will take on Vreed en Hoop Secondary in the opening match, followed by President’s College facing off against a strong Dolphin Secondary side. The final match of the day will see Waramuri battling New Amsterdam Secondary.
Simultaneously, three more matches will take place at Queen’s College (QC) ground. Tutorial High will go head-to-head with Yarrowkabra Secondary from Region Six, while Abram Zuil looks to extend their point’s standing against West Ruimveldt. In the final fixture today, Brickdam and Hope Secondary will be vying for crucial points as the tournament advances to the fourth round.
Following today’s matchups, five more riveting encounters will take place tomorrow at both venues.
The tournament is proudly sponsored by Nestlé Milo, with support from Massy Distribution, MVP Sports, the National Sports Commission, and the Ministry of Amerindian Affairs. It is coordinated by the Petra Organisation and sanctioned by the Ministry of Education.
