Barron’s niece, 43-year-old Elisabeth Edhardt, said that he suffers from memory loss following an accident that occurred several years ago. Edhardt said too that Barron and other relatives told her they wanted to visit and spend time at a creek in Kwakwani.

“They say they want to go at a creek and cool off lil bit and come home and catch a five. We carry them into the bush pool and they were bathing but he wasn’t bathing, he was sitting down at the bottom of a shed,” Edhardt told Kaieteur News.

Subsequently, Barron was seen filling a bottle with water to wash the car. He then picked up more bottles that were in the vicinity of the ‘bush pool’. However, after some time, the family noticed he was no longer around.

Family members raised an alarm and searched nearby for him to no avail.

Edhardt told Kaieteur News that Barron’s family is distressed. They searched

everywhere but the man is yet to be found in the small community. The missing man’s niece shared that the family is stressed and deeply worried about his wellbeing.

Police was notified and an investigation has been launched.
