Police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Sergeant Iyo Malone-Merchant.
Sergeant Merchant was pronounced dead at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center on Friday, March 14 at 2: 21pm, as a result of an alleged gunshot wound. The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 pm.
The Police Administration expresses condolences to her immediate family and colleagues as they continue to investigate the incident. Acting Commissioner, Mr Everton Jeffers wishes to thank all those who have been reaching out to offer condolences to her family, colleagues, and close friends on her passing.
