NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Residents in Harbour Island took to the streets today to protest several pressing issues in their community, namely inconsistent utilities such as water and electricity.

A flyer for the protest, which was widely circulated on social media, called for a peaceful demonstration in white clothes.

Seemingly in an effort to address mounting frustrations, The Ministry of Energy and Transport revealed today that a 50% rebate on the base rate for all residential and commercial customers in Eleuthera would be applied for the month of July.
