Kaieteur Sports- Guyana Harpy Eagles played to a draw against long-time rivals, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force yesterday at the Queen’s Park Oval which brought curtains down on this year’s 4-Day Championships.

The Red Force posted 240 in the first innings, before racking up 370 declared after Jason Mohamed dazzled with a top-score of 125 with 10 fours, while captain Joshua DaSilva raced to 77 off 79 (7×4 3×6), as they put their team in a good position.
Amir Jangoo stroked a classy 50 with 10 fours for the Red Force, as left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul bagged 3-138 despite the Eagles being led by spinner Ashmead Nedd who had 4-105.

Guyana did well to post 463 all out in the first innings after a string of scores from Keemo Paul (93), Raymond Perez (82), Kevlon Anderson (51) and a vital 52 from Permaul.

Red Force spinner Khary Pierre bagged 4 wickets to lead the bowling for his team’s first innings with two scalps apiece from Jyd Goolie, who had contributed with a crucial half-century in the first innings and Joshua James.
Chasing a target of under 150 runs, the champs ended on 33-0 with Matthew Nandu (7*) and Perez (26*) seeing the match to the end.
Earlier, the dismissals of the overnight pair in Bryan Charles (38), who played well on the final day along with Cephas Cooper (28) on the final day, put the Red Force on the backfoot.
Mohamed oozed class throughout his innings, finding a partner in DaSilva who was equal to the task as the pair helped cut the deficit down before building a lead.

After reaching his half-century, Mohamed upped the ante as he continued to toy with the bowling, before reaching his hundred only to fall at the hands of Nedd.
The Red Force skipper played an aggressive hand during his rush to a fifty and was looking like a big score before being out-foxed by Permaul, who alongside Nedd to wrap up the tail.
Guyana with this draw should likely retain their title following their dominance this season while finishing the season as table-leaders.
