Police arrested and charged Tesfa Luke of Swetes with possession of 1 pound of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to transfer.

The 41-year-old was seen on Tuesday in Swetes acting suspiciously, and this prompted police officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department Task Force to carry out a search on a vehicle owned and driven by the accused.

The controlled substance was found inside the vehicle and he was taken into custody. The officers were on mobile patrol duty at the time of the incident. He is expected in court on Wednesday.
