But even more worse is Christmas shopping in Guyana. De town ram pack wid people hustling, car horns blaring, and vendors shouting. Last week people did walking and looking. But dis week, dem get pay and is shopping till yuh drop. And nuff men does mek de mistake of tagging along fuh fetch bag.
But is de women in de stores who does mek de men sweat. Fellas, next time yuh woman seh, “Let’s go shopping,” just seh, “I busy,” and hide yuhself. stress.
One man seh he and he wife gone in town fuh do some Christmas shopping. De man seh he tell heself, “Leh we do this quick and done,” but quick and women ain’t mix, especially when shopping involved.
Next thing yuh know, de man and he wife get separated in de crowd. She call he pon de phone, vex vex, and ask, “Where yuh deh?”
De man seh, “Do you remember dat likkle jewelry store we gone to last year? De one where you see dat diamond bracelet yuh did love, but I tell yuh I ain’t got money fuh buy it?”
She seh excitedly, “Yes! Yes! I remember! “
De man tek a deep breath and seh, “Well, I in de bar next door to dat place drinkin’ a cold beer.”
