We need to question where your hounding started and its impact, that may well have given ammunition to the media and others in academia to continue to hound you relentlessly over the past few weeks, and which has led to your untimely passing.
I was not a follower of you Professor Arday, neither do I know enough about the rights and wrongs of what has been claimed you have done. But whatever, you have done, it did not deserve the continuous hounding you have received by some in the academia world and the media, given your known and published disabilities.
Given plagiarism exists amongst all races in academia and published journals, it is clear that you became a single high-profile target for others, simply because of your race and nothing else (thinking those against DEI)…there have been no other highlighted and hounded cases of plagiarism in the media affecting other non-black race.
Your unfortunate situation and life ending is indeed a wakeup call for others pursuing excellence in academia, especially our Black folks.
